Cooperation for Development — Project Management in International Youth Work — Azerbaijan

The project took place in Azerbaijan in the second largest city, Ganja, which lies at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains. The project brought together young people from different countries from Europe, Caucasus countries and Turkey. Almost all of us were experienced in working with youth. We were accommodated in a luxury hotel Ramada Plaza. The theme of the training course were new tools for project management and managemant. Lectures were provided by two trainers, who introduced us to these methods and lets us practice it in the groups.

At the time of the course there was celebrated third most important local festival – “Novruz” which
was about welcoming spring. During this celebration, we have experienced a lot of different festivals.
After the biggest event of these celebrations, that was organized on a main square in Ganja if the front of the town hall and where were thousands of local people, we were invited to a dinner with the mayor. Police escort drove us to a secluded restaurant in the mountains, where they held a private event.
