Project report:

The project took place in Antalya, a well known touristic destination. The main aim of the project was to increase young people’s active participation to decision making process about the unemployment issue and develop young participants’ understanding of European Citizenship. Organizers of the project did a really great job as everything was well prepared and the aim was accomplished. Participants from the Czech Republic, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Turkey participated lectures taken by local public and private sector representatives. Based on key points from these lectures, discussions in small groups were led in a form of workshops where every participant had his or her say to a topic.

As an output of our work, the declaration on youth employment was created and presented to Mayor of Kepez (district of Antalya). The organizers promised us that the declaration will be sent to the European Commission as a letter, so we can also expect official feedback.

Beside official program, participants had many opportunities to experience typical Turkish hospitality. Stay in a four star hotel Porto Bello Resort offered delicious cuisine, swimming pool, fitness and turkish spa. Traditionally, cultural night and city game was also part of the program.

Many thanks from Czech group to the organizers and EYCB for this project. It was pleasure to contribute with our participation and activity.
