  • → Albania 3, Germany 1

Time schedule:

Every morning there was breakfast from 8:30 to 9:30. Morning program started at 9:30 and finished 13:00, during that time there was always half hour coffee break. Afternoon program continued from 16:00 till 19:30/20:00, also there was half hour coffee break.

Accommodation and food:

Hotel Rafaelo – 4 stars.

Participants were divided into rooms according to their nationality, which was on one hand nice and comfortable, but on the other hand it didn’t really support socialisation.

We had problems with lack of hot water first two days, but then we sorted it out. Last day the water was leaking from water boiler that whole bathroom and partly also the main room was flooded.

Regarding the food, I believe everybody was satisfied and happy. It was delicious, only complain could be that sometimes we needed to wait a bit longer to get served.

Culture evenings:

We had three culture evenings; first evening Czech Republic, Slovakia and Kosovo were presenting their national food and drinks. Second evening it was Italy, Germany and Serbia. Last evening it was Rumania, Albania and Macedonia. It was very nice, some countries also brought their flags, played their music, sang some songs and danced traditional dances.

Trip:

We had one afternoon trip to the ciry Shkodër situated in northwestern Albania in the District of Shkodër, of which it is the capital. It is one of the oldest and most historic places in Albania, as well as an important cultural and economic center. As part of the trip we visited Rozafa Castle at the top of a hill, from where we had lovely view to the river Buna.

Evaluation:

It was definitely nice experience, meeting new interesting people and hearing their stories and points of view. I was given opportunity to participate also as a trainer when I was in charge on one session of Intercultural Learning, which I definitely enjoyed. This I consider to be most enriching part of the project for myself.

I am looking forward another training course!
