Project report:

The Czech group (13 altogether) spent lovely 11 days in a camp near Saint David’s, a lovely small city in the Pembrokshire National Coast Park in Wales. Thanks to organizers of this project – the Renewables (19.-30. srpna 2013) – we had a chance not only to learn more about other participant countries and challenge our creativity in making various useful objects from already used materials but also to explore parts of this breathtaking landscape.

Apart from working on creating small and big items, we tried solar cooking and making our own ice creams, which was especially delicious due to local organic food from farms of this area. Moreover, we could enjoy small trips on the coast paths, wander around Saint David’s and visit Cardiff. Particularly nice were intercultural nights that help us to understand the culture, ecology and especially the appetite of participant countries. A lot of good idea came into being and new friendships were made. The Czech group integrated together very well and it was pleasure to work with such class-conscious, responsible and delightful young people. Thanks to everyone who made this experience possible for us. Hope to meet you guys on other projects as well.
