Project report:

„Amazing county, breathtaking mountains, wonderful people and many new friends“ – That’s how I would decribe the gorgeous Georgia and also  the project „ World Citizen in a Complex World„ from my first impression. Of course it was very interesting training and I learnt many new things and information about different cultures, but what is the best for me, I have memories that will stay inside me for a long time and I have met people who I wanna stay in touch with and keep our friendship.

The project took place in Mestia, small town and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.  I met with Terezie (another Czech participant) in Tbilisi early morning and even though we didn’t know each other we shared the excitement about exploring this country. In the evening we met the rest of our group- participants from Armenia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Slovenia, Italy, Georgia, Lithuania and together went firstly by over night train and than by bus to Mestia.

During that week from 12 to 18 October we stayed in the guest house- very nice big warm house under the mountains with two old ladies who cooked for us, so we felt really like at home. And all people around were just kind and friendly to us.

Every day we went to the town centre where we had the training. We had mainly discusions about stereotypes and problems of discriminations. It was very interesting to hear different stories and different experience from various countries. Our trainers prepared for us many interesting activities, games and discussions. Every day we started with energizers to warm us up. We also had lots of fun during playing pantomime. In the beggining we wrote down some rules as „being on time, respect each other, listen to each other, speak in English, try to understand“ and so on,  that we had to follow all that time. It was really nice how we found the way to each other and became friends.

In conclusion I would like to thank all organizators, participants and nice people in Mestia, because thanks to them we could live this experience. In life, we can hardly say that something is perfect, but this simply was…PERFECT
