Project report:

Context

The KA1 Erasmus+ project E+ Youth-Activizenship aims to enhance youth participation in 10 communities in Europe. Participation is key for inclusion and resilience of youth in our society that is becoming more fragmented and complex. We clustered 4 major constraints to youth participation:

1) participation and legal status;

2) participation and gender;

3) participation and educational background;

4) participation and religion.

Based on the 4 clusters, the project improves competences/methods/tools of participants thus increasing the involved NGOs’ capacities to reach out and empower youth not engaging in social and political life.

Goals

  • To further professionalise youth workers by making them experience and reflect on innovative methods and tools which they can acquire and use to foster youth participation in their respective communities;
  • To foster the bottom-up development of youth participation action plans based on evidence and experience of participants using four thematic clusters of participation as a theoretical framework.

TARGET GROUP

30 youth workers, young leaders and trainers from HU, RO, BG, CZ, GR, ES, BE, LT, IT and DE, who are:

  • interested in delving into theory and practice of youth participation;
  • motivated to develop youth participation action plans to enhance youth engagement;
  • fluent in English.

Report from Training course 1: Venue: Rovereto (Italy); Date: 27.07.2019 – 04.08.2019:

Welcome to sunny mountains Dolomites! Welcome to the world full of happy people, fun, and new friendships. We traveled to Italy (Rovereto) two Czech people by car on 27th July. We were really excited about the project “TC E+ Youth-Activizenship” that ended on the 4st August. There were five people from each country: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, belgium, Latvia, Germany and from the hosting country Italy.

   Thanks to the perfect preparation and organization of our leaders – Tommaso, Giacomo and Irene we were able to create a wonderful team without any single mistake! During a lot of activities we got to know each other better and better and thanks to many group works, we were able to cooperate quite easily. We were dealing, for example with “theather of opresed”, four sociological models about relation between participation and education or theory of Roger Hart a Sherry R. Arnstein “Ladder of participation”. Presentation of our results allowed us to practice English and move our level a little bit higher!

 Moreover, we experienced great Italian food, drinks and we had a lot of opportunities to explore the city of Trento, Verona or in our hotel to rent bikes for trips to beautiful sunny mountains.

 What is glorious is the cooperation between nations, realizing that the topic participation in society is the most important thing that every individual can do something to make the life better. For all of us this was only the beginning. Now, when we are back home we can try to realize our ideas and be happy if any of them will come true. We can start with creating a lot of beautiful things or we can use education as the most powerful weapon to change the world. Everything is up to us!

 To sum it up, if there is no EYCB as the great group allowing a lot of people to do amazing things EYCB would have to be invented! Thank a lot every single person allowing these projects to happen!

Report from Training course 2: Venue: Baitz (Německo); Date: 08.11.2019 – 16.11.2019

Welcome to Germany! Welcome to the world full of happy people, fun, friendship and honesty. It was my pleasure to travel to Germany (Baitz) two Czech people on the 8th November. We were really excited about the project E+ Youth-Activizenship – Volume II that ended on the 16st November. There were 30 people from countryes: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia, Spain, Belgium, Italy and Germany.

Thanks to the perfect preparation and organization of our leaders – Tommaso, Giacomo and Andreia we were able to create a wonderful team without any single mistake! During a lot of activities we got to know each other better and better and thanks to many group works, we were able to cooperate quite easily. We were dealing, for example with problems of each country like is extremism, radicalism, education for all or participation of young people on life of his communities and societies. Learning new inovative methods and tools, presentation of our results allowed us to practice English and move our level a little bit higher!

Moreover, we experienced quite a lot from German vital culture – cultural events in Berlin, celebration of 30th anniversary of falling of Berliner wall, museums, great German food and drinks.

Considering it all in all, this project had something special in itself. Everything was so calm, pretty and amazing, like somewhere in the dream. What is glorious is the cooperation between nations, realizing that the participation problems are basically the same and the most important thing is the fact that every individual can do something to make the society better. During the project, the team of trainers created the functional windmill of activities.
