Project report:

It was 7th May and me with 3 more Czech participants arrived by plane to Bucharest, Romania. The weather did not disappoint us and so we could enjoy finally a little bit of spring. After arriving to the project venue, we met about 35 more youngsters from all over Europe – from Romania, Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Spain and Greece.

The project as usually started with ice breaking and getting-to-know each other activities. As we were so many people, it was harder than it seems. Yet, I believe it magically worked. Later on, we moved to discuss the main topic of this project – creating ideas to help unemployment and start new local businesses. We approached this idea from simple to complex. Firstly, Youthpass document was introduced as well as the key competences, and its possible future application and importance for our personal grown.

Then, through some simple business activities we jumped right into the main project of this youth exchange. It was a project lasting nearly 4 whole days. We have been divided into several groups in which we had to come up with a real business idea and business plan. We had to go through management of the company, advertisement and funding. We were looking for the strengths of our idea as well as its weaknesses. Yes, that was 4 days of hard work between the same group of people. It was intense, but in the end, I have to admit we came up with pretty good ideas.

In the last days we went to Nehoiu, small area in the middle of Romania. Yet it is unknown, the surrounding landscapes are stunning. The trip was connected with visits to local active people that gave us crucial tips when starting our businesses and stepping out of our comfort zones.

Our final activity was nothing else than a farewell party with tons of pizza and Youthpass ceremonial. What a way to end up such a great experience! Thank you!
