Project report:

The “Working Class Hero” Erasmus+ training course in Cyprus was a very transformative experience! Over the course of 10 days, I gained incredible tools and insights to better support young people in navigating the job market, especially those facing unemployment, discrimination, or unstable working conditions. I learned how to use frameworks like “Me and Skills,” “Me and Workplace,” and “Me and Purpose” to guide young people in setting clear career goals and identifying their strengths. The course also helped me deepen my understanding of social inclusion, teaching me how to empower young people to break free from stereotypes and societal barriers that often hold them back in their careers.

What made this experience even more special was the chance to connect with passionate youth workers from all over Europe. The intercultural exchange was invaluable, and I feel like I’ve not only gained new skills but also become part of a supportive, cross-cultural network. I’m leaving this training feeling more motivated to help young people unlock their full potential and tackle the challenges of the labor market with confidence. This course truly helped me realize how much of an impact we can make by empowering youth to become the heroes of their own careers!

Overall, the “Working Class Hero” training has been an eye-opening and energizing experience that will have a lasting impact on my work as a youth worker. I’m now equipped with practical career planning tools, a deeper understanding of social inclusion, and the confidence to help young people break down barriers and build a brighter future. This course has not only strengthened my professional skills but also reignited my passion for empowering youth. I’m excited to apply everything I’ve learned and continue making a real difference in the lives of young people, helping them become the heroes of their own career journeys!
