Project report:

Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to share my incredible experience from April 27th to May 5th, 2024, when I participated in a project hosted in Visegrád, Hungary. This project aimed to promote an active lifestyle and healthy habits, drawing inspiration from the Olympic spirit. Our group was an amazing mix of participants from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Serbia, and Romania. We quickly became close friends and had a blast learning about each other’s cultures and traditions.

Throughout the project, we engaged in various activities aimed at fostering initiative and competency. We participated in a range of sports and activities that emphasized teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Trying out new sports was incredibly fun and challenging. We also delved into the values and impact of the Olympics, realizing how sports can promote an active lifestyle and healthy competition. The project emphasized understanding and implementing healthy lifestyle practices, including nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being, motivating us to make positive changes in our daily lives. In small groups, we got creative and developed our own sports activities, showcasing our teamwork and leadership skills. Our trainers, Dora and Vajk, were incredible mentors who guided and supported us every step of the way, making the experience even more memorable.

Visegrád’s natural beauty provided the perfect backdrop for our project. Exploring the stunning surroundings and connecting with nature added depth to our experience. Personally, the yoga session with the breathtaking mountain view was my absolute favorite. I also cherished expressing myself through art therapy, where we painted our emotions; it was a powerful experience.

The highlight of the project was our self-organized Erasmus Olympic Games Day. Putting our newfound knowledge and enthusiasm into action was amazing, and everyone was so supportive and excited. Two evenings were dedicated to cultural nights, where each country showcased its culture and cuisine. It was a feast for the senses and brought us even closer together.

During our project, we had workshops about herbs, where we learned about their uses and benefits, adding another enriching dimension to our experience. We also had the opportunity to visit Visegrád Castle and taste traditional lángos. At the end of the project, we went for a ride on the bobsleigh track.

This project was truly transformative. I’ll cherish these memories forever and carry the lessons learned into my daily life. Here’s to many more adventures and positive changes ahead!
