Project report:

Hi, I’m Andrew, and I’ll be your guide for our project in Croatia. We kicked off on the 30th of September when we arrived at our accommodation in Samobor. It was the first time we met some of our teammates from seven other countries, along with our fantastic Czech team, and we could already feel that we were going to form a great group.

We weren’t just a group of people with the same vibe but we also shared the same interest in the focus of our training: to learn how to write our own ERASMUS+ projects. And we did a lot of hard work… We got straight to work after a few ice-breaking activities, diving into the application writing process. We immediately started to use what we learned in practice, cooperating in smaller groups to develop our own youth exchanges or training courses step by step. We actively exchanged feedback with the other groups and of course, our wonderful trainers, and one team even managed to submit their application before the end of the event.

Of course, it wasn’t all about work. We enjoyed plenty of time together, building friendships and exploring Croatian nature, cuisine, and culture. A special highlight for our Czech team was discovering a local dessert called kremšnita (and much more…) from a nearby pastry shop.

Having participated in several Erasmus+ projects, I can say that this one was really well-organized. A big thank you goes to Andreja and Ioana for making it so smooth. The group was fantastic, and I tried to spend as much time as I could with everyone. It wasn’t always easy with such a packed program, but we made it work. I even managed on an average of just 5 hours of sleep per night, but it was worth it and I hope, that soon we will be able to give the same experience to others.
