Project report:

Fostering accreditation in Rome:

Building the future of international youth work

From 5th to 9th July 2026, a representative of the European Youth Centre Břeclav (EYCB), Eva Janečková, participated in the international seminar “Fostering Accreditation E+ Youth KA1” in Rome, Italy, organized by the Italian National Agency in cooperation with the Czech National Agency DZS.

The seminar brought together youth organizations from across Europe to explore the opportunities and challenges of Erasmus+ accreditation in the field of youth. Through interactive workshops, peer-learning sessions, and exchanges of good practice, participants gained practical insights into strategic planning, impact measurement, quality standards, risk management, dissemination, and sustainable organizational development.

For EYCB, the seminar represented an important milestone in our long-term strategic planning and our reflection on the future of the organization. It provided valuable inspiration on how to connect our mission, vision, and values with long-term objectives and how to build sustainable structures that support meaningful international youth work.

A particularly valuable aspect of the seminar was the opportunity to learn directly from organizations that have already successfully implemented Erasmus+ accreditation. Their experiences, lessons learned, and practical recommendations offered important guidance for our own future development.

The quality of the seminar was further strengthened by the exceptional professionalism, expertise, and facilitation skills of the three trainers: Mafalda Morganti, Stefano Esposito, and Muaro Carta. Throughout the seminar, they created a safe, engaging, and highly participatory learning environment that encouraged open discussion, reflection, and peer learning. The programme successfully combined theoretical input with practical application through a variety of non-formal education methods and activities, including organizational self-assessment exercises, strategic objective mapping, discussions on values, mission and vision, impact pathway design, risk analysis workshops, dissemination planning, peer consultations, and exchanges with accredited organizations sharing their experiences and lessons learned. Their ability to adapt the programme to participants’ needs and facilitate meaningful exchanges greatly contributed to the overall learning experience.

The event also created space for networking and partnership building with organizations from different European countries, strengthening existing collaborations and opening doors for future international projects.

Beyond the professional content, the seminar demonstrated the values of inclusion and accessibility in practice. Individual participant needs, including dietary requirements and accessibility considerations, were addressed with great care and professionalism, contributing to a welcoming and supportive learning environment for all participants.

We would like to thank the Czech National Agency DZS and the Italian National Agency for organizing such an inspiring and valuable learning experience. EYCB returns from Rome with new ideas, stronger partnerships, and renewed motivation to continue supporting young people through non-formal education, international cooperation, and active citizenship.
