Erasmus+ inspires young people to engage in democratic processes and take part in civic life, enhancing their sense of responsibility towards their communities and societies.
Welcome to Slovakia. Where did different people from different countries met and learn about democracy, human rights and freedom of speech. And to learn about new cultures and make new friendships. There were people from Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, France, Jordan and Egypt.
The first day we played games to remember our names. And the next day we had lessons with experts on the previously mentioned topics. During a lot of activities we got to know each other better and better and thanks to many group works, we were able to cooperate quite easily. At the beginning of this project, we wrote in groups on paper what we want to learn and what we want to improve. For example, improve English and learn more about democracy.
We also learned how to edit videos and at the end of the project we had to create our own video in groups. By articles and legal cases.
Enhance Critical Thinking: By encouraging students to explore different perspectives and cultures, Erasmus+ nurtures critical thinking and empowers individuals to express their opinions freely and respectfully.
The best Part of the whole Erasmus was the two multicultural evenings where each country prepared its own program, for example: tasting of national sweets and drink, or a short video or presentation or national dance or song.
On Monday we went on an excursion to the Holocaust Museum in Sered. Because it was about human rights which we discussed in our lessons.
When we had a day off, each of the participants went on the trip. Either too Bratislava or to Trnava.
I think that every participant benefited from the project, either they improve their English or learned about important topics or learn about different cultures. And it will definitely come in handy for everyone in the future and the memories from Erasmus are unforgettable and valuable.
