Project report:

Last week, I had the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ program in
Slovenia, specifically in the picturesque town of Brežice. The theme of the
week was graphic facilitation, which caught my interest not only for its
creative focus but also for its practical applications in various areas of life
and the job market. The program was well-organized and full of engaging
activities.

Each day started with a shared breakfast, followed by either drawing
sessions or theoretical lectures. These lectures covered topics like color
theory, composition, and the basics of graphic facilitation. It was inspiring to
see how simple illustrations can effectively convey ideas or explain complex
concepts. The lunch break was a time for relaxation and informal activities –
we played games, chatted, and got to know each other better. In the
afternoon, we continued with drawing sessions, focusing on improving our
practical skills. We worked from three to seven, and each participant
gradually honed their abilities.

At the end of the week, we were tasked with creating our own poster,
applying all the knowledge we had gained during the week. The subsequent
presentations gave us the chance to share our work with others and receive
feedback. Even though participants had varying levels of drawing skills, it
became clear that artistic talent isn’t necessary for graphic facilitation. The
key is understanding the principles and having the motivation to improve.
We also had one free day, which most of us used for trips. Some visited
Ljubljana, others went to nearby Zagreb, and some chose to relax in local
spas. This day was a great opportunity to explore Slovenia and take a break
from the intense program.

The entire week was unforgettable, not only because of what I learned but
also because of the people I met. Participants came from Germany, Spain,
Italy, Turkey, Serbia, Lithuania, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic. We
connected quickly and grew closer as the week went on. During our free
time and evenings, we played games, laughed, and shared experiences. The
atmosphere was incredibly friendly and open, which made the whole
experience even better.
