Project report:

Stop Domestic Abuse and Violence training course took place in a beautiful village in Greece called Monemvasia.
It happened between 18th till 26th of November.

During the training course we had the chance to discuss the issue of domestic violence in different counties who participated in the training course ( Czechia, Bulgaria, Turkey, North Macedonia, Italy, Greece and Jordan ) and we shared what our societies and governments are doing in order to limit this problem and help to prevent it in the future.

In the training course we had a psychologist and a lawyer who were doing different seminars for us about, how to recognize if a person is going through domestic violence, and learned different methods on how to help people who are going through domestic violence, also the laws and rights.

In of the days we had the chance to visit a near village where they hosted us at their old school which they transformed into a cinema where they projected for us a Turkish documentary film about domestic violence, where the film showed 3 true stories of a girl who flee her house hold and then she sued her dad at the court, and another girl who did the same as they were getting domestic violated by their fathers. The third story of 2 kids who were sexually abused by their dad, where at the school the teacher knew by chance about that, where the teacher was playing some games with the kids, and those 2 kids came to suggest a game that their dad usually play with them, the thing is those 2 kids were really young to know if this is right or wrong or to distinguish if this abuse or what. But thanks to the teacher who communicated with the mom, then reported to the police, he was caught.

The problem of domestic violence, is that most of the times the victim stays silence afraid form the society or the consequences if they tried to speak up.

This training course was funded fully by Erasmus +.
