Project report:
Cultural Palooza was a youth exchange founded by European Commission through Erasmus+ programme. The Exchange was organised by NaturKultur E. V. and it took place in Garlstedt, Germany from 15th till 24th March 2024. The exchange brought together 42 people from 6 countries: Serbia, Romania, Czech Republic, North Macedonia and Germany, Spain.
We stayed in an amazing community house which had many options for activities and free time. As participants we focused on three main methods of intercultural communcation: theater, video and dance. At the end of the week we were presenting our final performance in small international groups. During the week we spent a full day in Bremen on a tour with a local ESC guide. This trip allowed us to discover the local culture of German people and make stronger connections with each other.
The topic focused on culture, celebrating the similarities and differences. We were discovering what participants from different countries know about each other and overcoming stereotypes together. Through various workshops and intercultural nights we were able to present our traditions, heritage and uniqnuess of our everyday life.
The biggest thanks belong to the facilitators and hosting organization and especially to all the participants who created a safe space and hopefully long lasting relationships.
