Project report:

Hello! Welcome to Turkey! Welcome to the land of traditions, warm people, and unforgettable views.
From the 21st to the 29th of June, I had the pleasure of leading the Czech team during the Erasmus+ project “Green Fashion: Transform, Wear, Protect” in Kayseri, Turkey. We were accommodated in a beautiful local high school that quickly became our home for the week.

The project focused on the topic of green fashion and recycling. A total of 46 participants from 7 countries took part: Romania, Lithuania, Turkey, Czech Republic, Italy, and Hungary. Each country was represented by 4 to 9 people, and I was proud to guide the Czech group of four as their team leader.

During the project, we took part in many group activities and creative workshops. We tried making our own carpets, bags, or dolls from recycled materials. We also had several opportunities to explore the city of Kayseri, its culture and lifestyle, which made the whole experience even more enriching.

One of the most unforgettable moments was the full-day trip to Cappadocia, where we watched the sunrise with dozens of hot air balloons filling the sky. It felt like a dream, and I think it’s a memory that will stay with all of us forever.

Thanks to the project, I learned more about sustainable fashion and how important recycling is in today’s world. But the biggest value was the people – we created an amazing group where everyone got along, supported each other, and shared lots of fun and laughter. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and truly inspiring.

If anyone is hesitating whether to apply for an Erasmus+ project – don’t wait another second. This was my very first project, but I can say with full confidence that it was a life-changing experience. It opened my eyes, gave me new friendships, and showed me how much we can grow when we step out of our comfort zone. And yes – I definitely want to join another project again soon!
