Project report:

Hello everyone! I want to share with you an experience that changed my view of what a group of motivated people can do. I recently returned from Slovakia, specifically from the small village of Suchá nad Parnou, where a ten-day Erasmus+ project called “The Idea List” took place. There were 26 young enthusiasts from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Spain and Turkey.

During many activities, we got to know each other better and thanks to group work, we were able to work together. The main topic was how to take the idea in your head and transform it into a real project. The entire program was based on non-formal education, so we learned in action. Through workshops, presentations, and joint activities, we learned how to correctly define goals and who we are actually doing the project for, plan steps for implementation, understand team psychology – that is, how to work together, even though we are all completely different.

The best thing about international projects is the connection. During the intercultural evenings, we tasted typical dishes, learned national dances and discovered that despite the language barriers, we understand each other perfectly.

Our main output was our own project proposal, which we developed in national teams. Not only did we have to present it, but we also had to shoot a short video (reel) for it, which forced us to be creative and present our visions. The project brought us practical experience with project creation, improved presentation skills and experience with international cooperation. At the same time, it motivated us to actively participate in the creation of our own projects in the future.

Finally, I would like to thank the host organization BPI, the sending organization EYCB and all the participants for the inspiring environment and new experiences.

Nikola H.
