Project report:
Hello world,I am Lukas and i participated in the Erasmus+ project “Eco Mission 2” in Srednogorovo, in Bulgaria. I have an unforgettable and enriching experience. The project focused on environmental protection, sustainable living, and raising ecological awareness among young people from different European countries.
Apart from me, Majda and Bára from the Czech Republic also took part in the project. Other participants were Gabriel and Guiliet from Italy, Mert from Turkey and Rico from Portugal.
We stayed in a beautiful eco-center that is fully self-sufficient – it uses solar panels for thermal energy and purifies its own water through in-house filtration systems. This stay not only gave us a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but also allowed us to experience sustainable living firsthand.
The program was very diverse – from workshops on climate change, zero waste, 4R, and composting, to team challenges in nature and creative activities. Also we visit so many local places like Buzludzha monument, Saint Nicholas peak, Muzeum of roses and Megalith, where we saw so amazing sunset.
I gained new knowledge and practical tips that I can apply in my daily life, as well as new motivation and a desire to spread awareness about environmental issues – whether at school, within my family, or in my community. On top of that, I took home friendships from across Europe and a sense that even as individuals, we can make a difference.
Overall, the “Eco Mission” project was an eye-opening experience for me in many ways – not only regarding environmental issues, but also in terms of personal growth, intercultural understanding, and teamwork. I’m grateful I had the chance to be part of it.
I would like to thank EYCB and the organisers for the opportunity and experience gained on this project.
