During the first March weekend a meeting of Roma students supported by the Scholarship for Roma highschool- and university students took place in Brno. As a part of Saturday afternoon weekend we presented to those young and active Romanies how they can develop their competencies, travel and get inspiration for their own initiatives thanks to the Erasmus+: Youth programme.
Though some of them were at first moment scared imagining themselves to travel abroad for the first time, their fears faded away as we shared our own experiences with projects and all benefits the Erasmus+ programme offers. Thus, after few minutes, many of them became enthusiastic about going on a youth exchange, training course or even EVS. Especially for those tackling economical difficulties we had one bonus – thanks to our grant programme they can take part in a project absolutely for free. Apart from sitting and listening students had also chance to try some activities they can encounter during projects.
We would like to thank Romea, o. s. for kind invitation and warm welcome at the meeting.
