Project report:

Greetings from Romania!

From November 11th to 21th, the Czech team had the chance to take part in an Erasmus+
project in Romania focused on minority discrimination. There were 4 – 5 people from each
country, except host Romania with 7 participants. The program was well-organized, and our coordinator, Tolea, ensured everything went smoothly – from transportation to creating a welcoming atmosphere.

The first part of the project took place in a peaceful village, Sărata Monteoru, where we
stayed in a cozy hotel surrounded by nature. The second part was in Buzău, offering more
urban exploration.

The main theme of the project was minority discrimination, and we explored this through
creative mediums like storytelling, breaking news simulations, video creation, and even
theatrical performances. These helped us dive deeper into the topic and foster teamwork
while improving our English skills. One of the highlights for me was the forum theatre activity, where we dramatized real-life scenarios of discrimination and worked together to propose solutions. It was both impactful and a lot of fun!

Intercultural evenings were unforgettable – sharing Czech traditions and learning about
others was both fun and enriching. The Romanian night was another standout experience,
complete with traditional food, barbecue, spirit, and plenty of dancing. We also had the
chance to explore Romania’s stunning nature, including a trip to see the country’s fascinating mud volcanoes, which offered breathtaking views.

This project was more than just a learning experience, it was a journey of personal growth,
cultural appreciation, and forming meaningful connections. It reinforced the idea that while we come from different backgrounds, we share common challenges and aspirations.

This project gave me new perspectives, skills, and friendships. A heartfelt thank you to
everyone involved in making this project possible. I can’t wait to join more projects like this in the future!
