Hey! Olá! The Czech team has arrived from the project called Take Action Today! that took place in Braga (Portugal) at the end of August. We made friends from
countries like Italy, Spain, Romania and also our neighboring country Slovakia. The combination of all national teams, our cultures, languages, different backgrounds, different social situations country-wise lead to a very interesting experience that we will certainly never forget. The perfect preparation and organization of Synergia association’s project made us feel welcome and motivated to learn about the topic of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Having learnt about the topic from the theoretical point of view, we created videos and graphic materials to raise the awareness about different SDGs that might be used in real life later on. We successfully managed to develop our personal skills, share our experience from various backgrounds and communicate in teams in the best way possible, as we were anticipated to. As far as cultural exchange is concerned, the organizers made the intercultural night really special for all of us to present our countries and traditional elements belonging to them. We got the chance to see the well-maintained headquarters of Synergia with all their facilities that they offer to the community of youngsters in Braga alongside their EVS volunteers from many European countries, including Spain, Romania, Turkey etc.
All in all, this project exemplifies the importance of people from different countries and cultures to meet and highlights the value of learning by doing and we are all very much thankful for this opportunity.
