Project report:

At the turn of July we attended the project Art: Tool of environmental awareness in Estonia. Besides six Czech participants there were also young people from Turkey, Italy and Estonia, of course. The main goal of the project was protection of environment and art as a tool of expression of personal opinion and attitude of young people to the issue of environmental protection.

As the aim of the project prompted, it all happened in a small family farm in nature close to the wetlands. The farm was located several kilometers from the village of Rapla, one hour by train from the capital of Tallinn. The Estonian coordinator and her Turkish assistant prepared a dozens of activities related to the topic of project. For example, we were supposed to draw our vision of ideal world or introduce the artwork, which we consider as an important for us. The top of all project was preparation of campaign. The topics were wasting water in households, ignorance of environmental issues or current situation in Turkey. After two days of preparation we went to Rapla to introduce our campaign to the locals. The purpose was introducing the environmental issues by the funny way.

Part of the project was also exploring the Estonia. We made a trip to the island of Saaremaal, the capital of Tallinn or the trip to the neighbor wetlands and sleeping in the forest in self-made tents. The important part of all the project was meeting young people from other countries and sharing our experiences and view of world together.

Although the topics we were working on were already quite familiar to everybody, we learnt how to discuss them, we were learning others opinions and met the view of the people from different parts of Europe. In addition, we had a lot of fun. I can only recommend those projects to everybody.
