Project report:

Training course “EU and EECA against unemployment“ took place in  Kobuleti, a Georgian town situated on the coast of the Black Sea. It brought together 24 participants, four per each of seven participating countries. The aim of this project was not only to share the personal experience of getting employed, but also to develop vital skills for becoming employed.

The list of activities included discussion sessions in international groups. The main topics of these sessions were how society fights unemployment in each country and to find out how this approach can be successfully adopted by other countries. A large amount of time was devoted to development of personal abilities. These sessions had various forms ranging from a conventional presentation about writing a CV to a role-play theatre as a way of self-presentation usable during job interviews.

The final event was held during last day in one of Georgia´s largest cities, Batumi. Participants were divided into groups. Some of them promoted Youth in Action programme by offering free hugs or collecting litter from local streets, whereas the others acted in a role-play, which aimed to emphasize the importance of education. Half of the day in Batumi was free, so that participants have possibility to enjoy the beauty of local sea resort

Having returned from Batumi, participants started to leave for their home countries. To say ‘good bye’ may have been the most difficult task of the whole week, because nobody was willing to leave new friendships and such a beautiful country behind.
