Project report:
Young people from 4 countries (Portugal, Greece, Turkey and the Czech Republic) met in July 2021 in Agueda, Portugal, for one week to work on the methodology focused on challenging stereotypes of public judgements and labelling. The program started with sharing our experience and opinions, and introduction of the problematics.
After that, non-formal education activities helped us to prepare for the discussion about good practices. We have met representatives for 2 local projects that help with the inclusion of minorities, and learnt about the history, processes and plans for the future. Last two days were dedicated to creating new methodologies in national teams, which will be shared later with the complete results for the project. Very useful were frequent reflections of activities that added an extra value to the whole learning. I truly believe that attending such a project will have a recognisable impact not only on local communities in each country, but also, in near future, on wider society.
And apart from a great new learning experience and skills gained, we had a lot of fun, made new friends and enjoyed beautiful Portugal!
