Project report:

The “Do you speak Erasmus+?” project aimed at building partnerships between organizations planning to write their own Erasmus+ project. After an eight-hour journey to the spa town of Rabka-Zdrój, we arrived at a beautiful accommodation in a small guesthouse.

The program began with ice-breaking activities that helped us overcome our initial nervousness. The egg drop challenge from the balcony was particularly fun, as we had to save our egg from irreversible destruction. The main focus of the whole week was to get familiar with the Erasmus+ framework, identify the differences between KA1 and KA2 projects and their implementation and conditions. We shared our ideas, not only on Erasmus+ mobility but also on volunteer activities that can be organized in our town to help community development. This also included improving ways to convey our ideas to others, which was sometimes a real challenge in English.

Mid-week, we took a break to visit Krakow and thanks to a great game the organizers came up with, “Who killed King John?”, we explored the beauty of Krakow in small groups of five and competed to be the first to reveal the murderer. We ended the day with traditional pierogies at a local restaurant. In total, there were 26 of us from over 12 countries in Poland.

We not only built partnerships but also much more important friendships. I leave the project full of new knowledge and skills and can’t wait to write my first project!
