Project report:
Project took place in the beautiful village Woodstown located just twenty minutes by car from Waterford. The main topic of the project was social games and the project aimed at youth workers. Project started with icebreaking activities which brought positive energy to the whole group. Our group had only 17 participants so at the end of the project we felt like a family. During other days we were learning how to use and evaluate social games in groups of young people. The games were fun and enriching and I didn’t know more than half of them. Every participating country showed their national social game and that was really cool. Now it may seem like we spent the whole week just playing social games but It wasn’t the case! During our free time, trainers organized a trip to Kilclooney woods which was a breathtaking experience which in my case ended with swimming in a mountain lake with a stunning view of mountain sheep climbing the mountains :D. Our Czech team stayed one day longer in Dublin to explore the city and then spend a night at Dublin airport (accomodation is pretty expensive). In conclusion I can say this project brought me a lot of new experience, which I’m already using in my normal life, connected me with new inspiring people from six different European countries and allowed me to see a glimpse of Ireland which just left me wanting more of it. So at the end I can just say if you have the opportunity to take part in Erasmus projects go for it, it’s worth it 🙂
