Project report:

Our journey began in Poland, Rakszawa, where from August 1th to August 11th, young people from across Europe came together for the Erasmus+ project “Youth community”, organised by Fundacja Ornament and funded by European Union. Our diverse group included participants from the Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine and Turkiye all eager to explore critical topics such as political participation, decision-making, and youth empowerment. The goal of the program was to equip participants with the abilities to be actively able to engage in their and others communities.

Throughout the week, we engaged in discussions and workshops focused on political participation and decision-making. We explored the importance of voting, civic engagement, and understanding local governance. By learning about important people and sharing our own experiences, we became more aware of how political decisions impact our lives. This focus emphasized the need for us to actively participate in shaping policies that are healthy and reasonable.

One of the standout aspects of the program was the emphasis on international dialogue and peer to peer learning. Through various engagement activities, we were able to connect with people from other countries that have different experiences and opinions, this way we shared perspectives and gained valuable insights. These exchanges fostered mutual respect and understanding, bridging the gap between different cultures and communities . Participants learned how to get along with different people and had fun with it.

In conclusion, this Erasmus+ project was more than just an educational experience; it was a transformative journey that empowered us as youth leaders. We returned to our home countries inspired to actively engage in our communities, equipped with a deeper understanding of political processes and a network of supportive peers. The lessons learned about youth empowerment, community engagement, and the importance of digital participation will undoubtedly influence our efforts as we strive to make a positive impact in our societies. Together, we can ensure that our voices continue to be heard.
