Project report:

This Erasmus+ project was part of a series focusing on different types of intelligence according to Howard Gardner. This particular project was dedicated to kinesthetic intelligence, emphasizing movement as a way of learning, self-expression, and personal development. Led by Goran Bogdanovski, holistic dance teacher, choreographer, and a dancer himself, the training combined practical movement experiences with didactic methods on how to create and lead movement workshops.

The sessions followed an 8-step structure, starting with establishing a safe space and setting up rules, then moving on to ice-breakers to set a playful and open atmosphere, followed by energizers to activate the body. After proper warm up participants engaged in breath work and dynamic stretching to prepare for the main movement activities. Which were focused on dance improvisation and authentic movement. And ending with cooling down and the most important part – a reflection. Each day built upon the previous one, starting with individual exercises, progressing to partner work, and culminating in group improvisations. One of the final highlights was a group improvisation on a real theater stage.

The project aimed to provide participants with practical tools from dance improvisation, body-mind-spirit practices, and dance therapy, which can be used in youth work. Additionally, it focused on enhancing creativity, increasing body awareness, developing leadership skills, and the ability to design movement workshops.

The experience offered valuable insights into integrating movement into education and youth work, making it a powerful tool for engagement and self-development.
