Project report:
Be Colorful! was an amazing Erasmus+ youth exchange that took place in a little Andalusian village called Mollina in Spain. During the days of the project (5.- 12.6. 2026) young people from Czech republic, Romania, Spain, Italy and North Macedonia came together to learn about themes like diversity, inclusion, creativity and self expression. Throughout the week, we explored these topic throught non-formal education methods such as team work, artistic activities, self expression and intercultural learning. We participated in a wide range of creative workshops and activities. We painted on a big canvas our expression of diversity, we created self portraits or collaborated in groups on art projects that highlited beauty and differences of each person. For example our diversity village from Play – Doh, where participantss worked together to create colorful communities representing people or animals of different color, shapes, sizes and nationalities, to make our societies stronger and inclusive.
This project also encouraged creativity through different forms of art, such as shadow or puppet theatre workshop, which allowed us to tell stories, share ideas and explore important topics in a very funny way.
Every day we had various energizers and team building activities that helped us to get to know each other, increase our energy and cooperate within the group in international teams of young people. Behind the education, we also had a lot of fun in these activities, we made a lot of friends along the way and unforgettable memories together.
We also had two intercultural nights, where we could share our national traditions, food, dances and interesting facts that we learned during quizzes that national teams prepared. The evenings became a true celebration of diversity where participants learned about each other’s culture differences and our many similarities. The social activities were equally important. We spent time together by the swimming pool, enjoyed an unforgettable Karaoke Night, and strengthened the bonds that had developed throughout the week.On our final day, we visited Málaga, where we explored the city, enjoy its atmosphere, and relaxed on the beach before saying final goodbye.“Be Colorful!” was much more than a youth exchange. It was a week of learning, creativity, friendship, and personal growth. The project showed us that diversity should be celebrated, inclusion should be promoted, and that when people from different backgrounds come together, they can create something truly beautiful. We leave Spain with new friendships, unforgettable memories, intercultural understanding, and the inspiration to continue building more inclusive and connected communities in our own countries.
Be different. Be creative. Be inclusive. Be Colorful!
