Project report:

The project “Communication Challenge” was organised by Young steps youth club in Cesme, Turkey. It was my first project of this kind and I really enjoyed it. Being part of a project in a new country with all the people you’ve never met before is an amazing experience. There were 28 people from each country: Greece, Spain, Georgia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldavia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkish participants. The organization of the project was great. I like communication between the participants and organizers.

I traveled to Turkey with one other Czech participant, Jana, on the 4th October 2015. First day we spent by doing a lot of activities we got to know each other. During this project we often worked in group. People were very friendly and we were able to cooperate quite easily. We were dealing, for example about unemployment of youth people, communication between NGO and government, unemployment and problems of each country, how we imagine the future world as well as with trying to find solutions for every task. Presentation of our results allowed us to practice English and communication skills.

The accommodation was great, the hotel was near sea and we lived in double room with bathroom. The food was good as well. We had wide offer of typical Turkish food.

We had a chance to know part of Turkish culture and we, participants, also got the opportunity to represent some of our traditional food on the “international night”. There were a lot of activities like boat tour, visiting of donkey ranch, “City game”.  In this game we had to do activities like, find the most beautiful view on the city (bring photo), create some ideas for business opportunities and find a job in Cesme.

To sum it up, the project Communication Challenge in Cesme was full of amazing experiences. I really enjoyed it and recommend to everyone! Thanks a lot that these projects can happen!
