Project description:
With this Youth Exchange we aim to rise participants’ awareness about issues related to youth indifferences towards public matters and develop partipants’ knowledge about current EU policies and initiatives
About the project:
This project attempt to enhance youth civic engagement and raise awareness about the importance of participation in civil society among young adults from 7 European countries, develop their sense of initiative, and contribute to combat Youth apathy towards politics, present in our communities.
Objectives:
- Develop participants knowledge about current policies and initiatives of EU supporting youth civic
engagement, - Provide participants with ideas and suggestions on how they can participate in civil society and support civic engagement among their peers, share experiences and best practices from regions of partner organizations,
- Widen participants knowledge about work of student or municipal youth councils and political youth organizations, provide suggestions on how they can be involved in their activities, and emphasize the importance of such involvement,
- Emphasize the importance of participation in election
The methodology of the project is based on the principles of non-formal education. The main focus will be placed on the participants, fostering their active participation, mutual learning, discussing and sharing of experience and good practices.
The project consists of a youth exchange in two countries and local activity phase in which all of the participants will take part. The project will start in Denmark, then we will go all together by bus and train to
Poland and finish the project there.
Profile of participants:
- Age: 18-30 (group leader without upper age limit)
- Being motivated by the topic and able to share the projec results in his/her local community in the dissemination and follow up process
- Active participation in all sessions & English-speaking abilities is mandatory
- Participants should be able to work in groups, share their ideas, give presenations, and express themselves
- Interested in working cultural dialogue issues
- Open minded mindset to other cultures/diversity – we are going to spent a lot of days together and share rooms with other youth in a scout cabin
- Support green travel which include bus/train trasnportation from Denmark to Poland – a 16 hours travel
