Project report:

I recently had the chance to participate in an Erasmus+ project called “ARTepreneurial Movement” in Puente Genil, a beautiful town close to Córdoba in Spain. From the very beginning, the experience was beyond my expectations. Everything was so thoughtfully organized that it felt like stepping into an environment designed for learning, growth, and connection. This was my first Erasmus+ experience, and it couldn’t have been a better introduction to the program!

The project was facilitated by Natalie from the Czech Republic, who is currently volunteering in Puente Genil. Her energy and enthusiasm brought the group together and made each session engaging and meaningful.

Our days were filled with a mix of indoor and outdoor activities that inclueded art and sports in ways that were both fun and inspiring. We were welcomed into local youth center to learn about their work in the community, and one of the highlights was a dance workshop with a lovely local artist. She led us in expressive movement exercises, encouraging even the most hesitant dancers to step out of their comfort zones. Our local coordinator, Juanje, brought so much warmth and organization to the project, always available to help and making sure we felt supported and at home.

We stayed in a beautiful “rezi,” a youth residence with a rich history and colorful atmosphere that added to the charm of our stay. Each day felt like a journey into something new, and I found myself feeling like a kid again, full of curiosity and excitement.

The program also offered chances to explore the local culture, including a visit to a traditional tapas restaurant, where we tried authentic Spanish flavors. One of the most memorable evenings was the intercultural night, where participants from each country shared typical dishes from their home countries. It was amazing to see the variety and generosity. People brought an impressive amount of food, and each dish came with a story, giving us a taste of cultures from across Europe. It was truly a celebration of diversity, and it brought us all closer together.

As a Czech participant, I usually connect with people from other backgrounds on international projects, but it was wonderful to see the Czech group supporting each other. It felt like we formed our own little community within the larger group, making the experience even richer.

This experience opened my eyes to new ways of connecting with people, art, and movement. I came home with friendships and memories I’ll never forget. If you’re considering an Erasmus+ project, I can’t recommend it enough—especially in Puente Genil. The experiences, the people, and the atmosphere made it a week I’ll always remember.
