Project report:

The training course Digital Skills Bootcamp took place from April 15 to April 21, 2026, in Bulgaria. Throughout the week, we stayed in a beautiful villa surrounded by nature, yet only a short distance from the historic city of Stara Zagora. We were accommodated in double or triple rooms, and the villa featured not only a dining area and a common room, but also a spacious terrace, a jacuzzi, and a ping pong table.

In total, 27 young people participated in the project, coming from Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, and Greece. The popular intercultural nights were therefore very diverse thanks to the number of participating countries and were full of great food, quizzes, and dancing. The project was organized by Mundus Bulgaria.

Each day followed a similar structure, which the organizers shared with us in advance. During the day, there were morning and afternoon workshops and presentations. The main goal of the project was to work in groups of five to six people to create a media campaign for one of the Mundus Bulharia organization’s existing projects. In the first days, we were divided into teams, and later we drew our topics. My group was tasked with preparing a campaign for an ongoing project focused on the concept Sport for Social Impact.

First, we familiarized ourselves with the assigned project and identified the target groups the campaign should address. We were also introduced to digital tools for team organization, namely Trello and Miro. In the following days, we used Canva, AI, ChatGPT, and other tools to prepare two campaigns. On the third day, we presented our posts to the other groups, who provided feedback and helped us decide on the final version. Throughout the preparation process, not only the organizers but also my teammates were very supportive. Everyone had different strengths, which made the collaboration very beneficial.

On the fourth day, we finalized the campaigns and either published or scheduled the posts on Mundus Bulgaria’s social media. They should still be available there, so you can check out what the final results looked like. In the afternoon, we rewarded ourselves with a trip to Stara Zagora. We walked around the city, visited a museum where we had a lot of fun thanks to borrowed costumes, and ended the day in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant recommended by one of the participants. We presented the complete results of our work to the others on the fifth day in the morning.

During the project, I mainly improved my skills in working with Canva, as well as with the other digital tools introduced. Most importantly, however, I gained experience working in an international team full of ideas. The incredibly friendly atmosphere throughout the project meant that I felt no fear or embarrassment when presenting our results—I knew everyone was supporting me.

The next morning, I left for home with several new friends, but without enough sleep. In the evenings, I often sat on the terrace with others until late at night, sometimes with tears in my eyes from laughter.
