Caring in Our Organisations — Spain

The Erasmus mobility Caring in our oragnisations was absolutely great. Only two of us from the Czech team went to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The beautiful pilgrimage city really had an atmosphere that we were discovering in the streets in every free moment. Two great women Eva and Montse from the non-profit organization FOGART were in charge of the program and objectives. There were only 21 of us in the group, for both of us this was the project with the smallest number of participants, moreover, since the activity of FOGART is also working with blind people, we had a great opportunity to learn more about life with this handicap.

 

The main focus of the program was to open up the topic of caring for people in our non-profit organization, but the applicability was to any community we are in. Due to the small size of the group, we were discusing most of the time all together, it was very non-violent, natural and open conversations. In a very short time we created a good safe-space where even topics like emotions or violence were not difficult to share with the group. We didn’t say goodbye with the words Good Bye, but Hasta Luego, because it was definitely not the last time we would see each other.
