Project report:
On Friday, 24th of June, six young people from Czech Republic came to a small town in Croatia called Vinkovci. We had this amazing opportunity thanks to the Erasmus+, EYCB and last but not least Udruga KOR and our amazing leader Andrea!
We made a lot of friends from other countries: Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, North Macedonia and Romania. We were focusing on understanding climate change, methods of recycling and being kinder to our planet. To reach that we had a lot of workshops about different ways of taking care of things we though weren’t useful anymore.
On the first day we got tickets for a rock’n’roll festival in the city. We met a lot of local young people there and had a really great time. For another day the theme was making a one pair of jeans. This theme was full of new information, because I believe none of us knew about how much material, water and work is needed for only one pair of jeans. Next day we were talking about marketing strategy and strategies of making people buy your product, which is really important for the fashion industry that we were focusing on. We were also watching a documentary called No Impact Man, it was about a guy who tried to make almost no impact on the planet for a whole year and then we talked about it. On Tuesday we had a free day that we used to get to know each other more. We went to the local lake, played beach volleyball and explored the city. Next day we started to get ready for our fashion show where we showed our ,,brand‘‘ called Vinkovci. For this fashion show we made really cool clothes from things we brought to Croatia. In the evening the time for our show came. We went to the local bar, hung our things all over and talked with people from Vinkovci. On the last day we were talking about the project and we had a Youthpass ceremony.
It was a really great experience and we all trully enjoyed it! We met a lot of great people, got to know a lot of new information about our planet, environment and fashion industry. Thanks to everybody who made this happen.
