Project report:

It was the 4th of November after a day of travelling when our team had successfully arrived in Garlsted, a small town near the city of Bremen in Germany. We were about to start a training course focused on the art that most of us do on a daily basis – The Art of Communication, as the name of the course suggests.

There were just 4 of us and yet, we were one of the largest teams in the course. Because for only 26 participants, there were teams from 10 different countries from Europe: Germany, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Croatia, North Macedonia, Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal. We also had the pleasure of having 3 amazing trainees and 3 chefs that made our experience a true delight.

During the following 5 days, we have managed to build a strong connection among ourselves that was also supported by applying everything our trainees managed to teach us. We have improved not only our public speaking skills that we had to master in order to give a speech on the 4th day of the training course, but also our interpersonal skills with topics such as active listening and nonviolent communication that taught us how to deal with problems and set healthy boundaries.

In conclusion, this project has taught me a lot not only about communication, but also about me and my surroundings. Albeit having only 5 days, NaturKultur has managed to give me a wonderful experience with memories and knowledge that will come in handy in the years to come and I am honoured to live through that.
