Project report:
To begin with, I would like to thank EYCB for this enormous opportunity they have given me by allowing me to travel abroad to a project dealing with the topic of bullying. The project was titled Empowerment of Youth Against Bullying and Violence, which took place in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia and lasted from 19th to 30th June. The project at first seemed very good to me, firstly by the approach of the organizers, secondly by the place where we were the accommodated, which was a very good looking hotel and lastly by a program that was described in the info pack.
But that’s probably all I can say about this project. That’s because our organizational team has largely failed to meet our expectations. The main drawback was the cancellation of the planned workshops, where the organizers were unable to replace these workshops. In one or two situations, even an organizer’s verbal attack occurred on one of the participants. I see this as another example of the lack of organizational skills.
On the other hand, however, in order not to distort the organizers, I must point out that the organizers have tried to remedy their shortcomings to a certain extent. Whether in terms of various activities that were not in the program, as well as partial efforts to solve the problems that have occurred. From the program page and the amount of information we received on the project, I have to say that it was one of the weaker projects.
However, as is well known, the project is largely influenced by the composition of the participants, which in this case was more than great.
