Project report:

Training Course Feed Your Planet was a bittersweet one. It all started with a joint video call to address our questions and discuss the logistics (because the place we were going to was a small commune in the French Pyrenees, far from a big city). The organisers were very helpful, and the travel went super smoothly.

After arriving at the venue, a nice house in a valley, we started to get to know each other and settle. The accommodation varied; some people slept in nice, almost hotel-look rooms, and some shared one small room with five people and bunk beds. The food wasn’t the best, but still better than at a school cafeteria – and that’s a decent deal.

We met people from seven different countries, got very close, and really enjoyed our time together. The community we built was very strong, and I think that everyone was included.

When it comes to the content of the project, we didn’t do much. There was only one trainer (usually there would be two/three), and we focused only for 3 hours a day on the course topic, and we basically did not learn much. The rest was a bit chaotic, and we often didn’t know what (and sometimes even when) the next activity was. Also, the French team came only for one weekend, and it was very poorly integrated into our group.

To summarize, the people were fantastic, the food could have been better, the logistics were very well done, but the content was kinda missing. Overall a good experience, giving us the view that the projects are sometimes just bittersweet.
