Project report:

The Youth Exchange Feel the world – be the Superhero was held in Otepaa, Estonia. The accomodation was arranged in a big hotel with all necessary services. Surroundings of the venue were really beautiful with nearby lake and forest for hikes. There were also plenty of opportunities for having fun – basketball, volleyball, football and other activities. Hotel provided full board with traditional Estonian food. For the project, participants of 7 countries gathered – Estonia, Czech republic, Italy, Greece, Poland and Portugal. In total, there were 36 participants of the project.

The whole course delivered mostly through by non-formal education. Participants had opportunity to contribute to the programme and to have fun while learning new information. The activity was devoted to migration – we explored all the similarities and differences amongst different nations. Also, during one day, we experienced how a migrant is feeling – we underwent a roleplay, when facilitators and group leaders treated participants as migrants. This was very strong experience for everybody – we are now able to be more empathical with refugees. During the stay, we also had a chance to visit a beautiful city of Tartu – once for a visit of local NGO, second time we were delivering a campaign to spread knowledge about migration in Estonia amongst local people.

I was really excited to be a part of this experience, the Czech team was very friendly and supportive and look forward to meet each other again.
