Labas (Greetings in Lithuanian)! From 1St March to 10th March 2024, an amazing project aimed at helping young people achieve their dream jobs took place at Meda House in Lithuania.
The program the organizers prepared for us was focused on developing soft skills and expanding our knowledge about job opportunities. In the first phase of the project, participants were asked to think about their future and create a picture of themselves in 5 years. Setting goals is essential information for directing our efforts.
During our project, we had the privilege to listen to lectures from experts. One of them was Stanislav Karmyšov, a specialist in the field of human relations, who taught us how to write a CV that will greatly increase the chances of success. The activities were held not only in Meda House, but also in Vilnius, where the social experiment was performed. The experiment simulated a job search based on volunteering in cafes, shops, and others.
Leisure activities were also an integral part of Erasmus. Throughout the project, participants exchanged work experiences but also learned about other cultures, tasted traditional foods and visited fascinating sights (e.g. Trakai Castle, which is especially famous for its location on Lake Galve).
In the end, on behalf of the whole Czech team, I would like to thank especially Auguste Snarskyté from the host organization Active Youth Lithuania for the amazing project. A huge thank you also goes to the EYCB organization, which opens the door to a world of opportunities.
