Project report:
Здравствуй, Pamporovo! Somewhere high in the mountains, surrounded by forest our Czech team began a week full of discovery and laughter. From 29 September to 6 October 2025, we joined participants from Greece, Romania, and Bulgaria for the Erasmus+ youth exchange Media & Volunteering in Bulgaria.
The project explored how media and storytelling can inspire people to volunteer and get involved in their communities. Each morning started with energizers that made everyone smile and wake up fast, followed by creative workshops on digital storytelling, photography, and social media. We discussed how fake news spreads, how to tell real stories, and how one message can make a difference.
Our main task was to create a campaign about volunteering. We chose Earth Hour — a simple act of switching off the lights to protect our planet. We filmed, edited, and designed the campaign using the skills we’d learned during the week. Seeing our ideas come to life was a great feeling.
But Pamporovo wasn’t just about that. We hiked to the Snezhanka Tower, explored a lovely city Smolyan, shared traditional food at cultural nights, and played UNO long into the evening. By the end of the week, strangers had become friends, and every language barrier had disappeared.
On the final day, we presented our campaigns, wrote letters to our future selves, and received our Youthpasses. Pamporovo may be behind us, but its energy and memories are still echoing somewhere in our minds.
