Project report:

Welcome to Poland!

On the 2nd of November, we met with other Czech participants, Adam and Daria, at Prague’s main train station. We traveled by night train to Poland. Each of us had our own bed, and we traveled for more than 12 hours because our train was delayed. However, we enjoyed the journey, as we could admire the beautiful Polish nature and even received a complimentary breakfast.

We arrived shortly after 11 AM, which was the perfect opportunity to explore the city of Warsaw. Warsaw is a beautiful city that connects the past with the future. We managed to walk about 15 kilometers, and unsurprisingly, we were tired. Luckily, that day we didn’t have to do anything; the organizers just introduced themselves and explained the program schedule.

The next day was all about getting to know each other, so we played several games to break the ice. On Wednesday, we started exploring the project’s main topic—human rights. We played some games to help us understand what basic human rights are.

Thursday was a free day because our only task was to go to Warsaw and take team pictures in front of some buildings in the city center. When we were done, we grouped up with other participants from Latvia and Romania and explored the culture and cuisine of Warsaw together. In the following days, we continued to enhance our knowledge through various games and workshops on human rights. My favorite game was the “Domdomland Game,” where our goal, as EU Commission members, was to explore the culture of the newly accepted nation of Domdomland.

On the last day, we wrapped up the topic by creating videos, articles, and photos, which we then presented to the group. The final activity was the ceremonial awarding of the Youthpasses and saying goodbye to everyone. Later that night, Adam and I departed from Warsaw on a night bus to Prague.
