Project report:

An incredible experience took place in Salovci, Slovenia, where a group of young people from the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland, Spain, Italy, and Slovenia came together to explore the topic of human rights.

The workshops we created challenged us to find where one individual’s freedom ends and another’s begins. We were balancing on the fine line between human rights and the law. We immersed ourselves in the origins of these fundamental principles, exploring the concept itself and discussing its influence on contemporary society. The sensitive issue of human rights violations prompted each one of us to reflect on our personal values.

Equally valuable, if not more so, was the experience of creating and leading the workshops ourselves. We learned how to work effectively in a team, how to compromise when our opinions differed, and how to create activities that were both enjoyable and educational.

While the seminars were enlightening, my heart belongs to the people I have met there, as it was they who made those ten days unforgettable. Thanks to the excellent facilities, we could play volleyball, cook together, and have endless late-night conversations on a trampoline. It’s rare to find people who fit together like puzzle pieces and work so well as a group. We created a loving and fun environment that we will all miss.

I am incredibly grateful for this experience, which has left me with memories that will last a lifetime. This project has enriched my life in so many ways that it’s hard to describe them all. I hope everyone gets the chance to experience something like this.
