Merhaba – Greetings from Turkey!
From March 7th to 15th, we had the incredible opportunity to take part in the Take the Eco Side project in the beautiful coastal city of Side. The project focused not only on finding new ways to engage young people in environmental activities but also on building strong partnerships between organizations across Europe.
Each team prepared its own workshop to share experiences and methods for working with youth. We introduced a Roleplay Simulation of a Polluted River, which demonstrated how challenging it can be to find solutions to environmental problems when different groups have conflicting interests. This activity highlighted the importance of communication and compromise in tackling real-world issues.
Beyond learning, the project was an amazing opportunity to network and create meaningful partnerships. Throughout the week, we met inspiring people from 11 countries, exchanged ideas, and discussed future collaborations. We also had the chance to explore the beautiful city of Side and enjoy informal moments that strengthened the friendly atmosphere of the whole project.
It was a week full of inspiration, shared experiences, and great energy. A huge thank you to the organizers and all participants for an unforgettable experience—we can’t wait for future projects together!
