Project info:

Training course Stop Illegal Migration and Human Trafficking was organized in Vrnjacka Banja (Serbia) from 17th till 26th April 2013 by Serbian NGO Svet Reci for 27 participants from 15 countries. We spent first sessions by getting know each other, icebreaking and team building activities. Than we start slowly moving deeper into the topic day by day. We used different games and tools to share our knowledge, experience and opinions about migration, other cultures, multiculturalism, discrimination and prejudices. All activities were trying to help us, personally and also as a group, to answer following questions: What is migration? Why people migrate? What are benefits and problems related to migration? Etc. The most interesting (and also the heaviest) part of project was two day long block of activities about Human Trafficking led by 3 young professionals working directly with victims of human trafficking in their organisation Astra (Belgrade). Later during field trip we had opportunity to enrich our newly gain knowledge about human trafficking by visiting Red Cross in Kraljevo and discussing about their human trafficking prevention project.  Field trip was also a perfect activity to forget about all depressive thoughts created by working on such a heavy topic – we visited city of Kraljevo, monastery Zica and castle ruins nearby during that hot and sunny day. With clear heads and full of energy we continued in training by final topic – social rights and inclusion.

I appreciate the most approach and personal experience of people during this training course – amazing main trainer duo Milisav and Jelena, girls from Astra and their practical and particular information from field work, and all active participants excited about topic. It was professionally organized top quality training course attended by great group of participants.
