Merhaba! Welcome to Bolu! Welcome to the world full of beautiful nature, fun, friendship, relax and happy people who cares about environment. It was my pleasure to travel to Turkey with five other amazing Czech people on the 3rd of July. We were really excited about the project “Happiness in Nature” that ended on the 12th of July.
Thanks to the perfect organization of our leaders – Erva, Husein, Utku and Yusuf who made a perfect program for us. During a lot of activities we got to know each other better and better and thanks to many group works, we were able to cooperate quite easily. We were dealing, for example with environmental problems of each country, how we imagine the future of our county, environmental problems of our country, made ideas for new environmental projects. Some activities was focused to relax on nature. We went for a walks a lot and enjoyd the beuty of nature. All activities was focused on nature and environment. We tried find solutions for every task as well. Presentation of our results allowed us to practice English, it was really good for improving our presentation skills and move our level a little bit higher!
Moreover, we experienced quite a lot from other cultures. Every evening we had cultural night: Italian, Portugese, Spanish, Bulgarian, Turkish and Hungarian. We also had opportunity to present something about Czech Republic, cooked some traditional Czech dishes and danced traditional dances. For me it was such a beautiful experience to saw these cultures and tasted traditional food.
Considering it all in all, this project had something special in itself. Maybe it was because of beautiful turkish nature, maybe because of amazing people but everything was so calm, and amazing. What is glorious is the cooperation between nations, realizing that the environmental problems are basically the same and the most important thing is the fact that every individual can do something to make the situation better. My favourite moment of the project was when we planted trees. It was so important moment for me, because we did something important for the nature by our hands. Also the ideas of those people was amazing. All of the plans how to make our planet more beatiful and how to protect our environment. For all of us this was only the beginning. Now, when we are back home we can try to realize our ideas and be happy if any of them will come true. We can start with creating a lot of beautiful things or we can use education as the most powerful weapon to change the world. Everything is up to us!
I am sure that I can thank you on behalf of the entire Czech team. Because without EYCB we wouldn’t have this opportunity. We wouldn’t meet that amazing people. Right now I am so thankful for friends I found there. Now they are like my family. I am so glad for this opportunity.
