Jana Parolková was awarded the 'Person of 2015 of non-profit non-governmental organisation of the South Moravian Region'!

Many thanks to all of you who gave your vote to Jana Parolková. She was supported by 480 from the total number of 2033 voting people and became the 'Person of 2015 of non-profit non-governmental organisation of the South Moravian Region'!

Jana has been volunteering for the European Youth Centre Břeclav as the international projects coordinator since 2010. Since she started she has sent more than 800 youths nearly 350 projects all over Europe, set up a special fund supporting participation of socially and economicaly disadvantaged youth in Erasmus+: Youth in Action projects and organised a training course about helping handicapped.

Jana is also actively involved in all other activities of EYCB, e.g. presentations about Erasmus+:Youth in Action programme on high schools, organising local activities in Břeclav region, organisation's development etc., although she lives in the UK where she worked as a academic support worker for handicapped students of Oxford University.

We congratulate Jana for this fantastic success and we wish her lots of energy and enthusiasm in her further work!


EYCB has elected new board members

On the annual meeting EYCB has elected new board members. You can have a look at the Our team section, who will be coordinating abroad projects, organise domestic projects, who will be in charge of finances and control our activities.


EYCB has a new EVS accreditation - UPDATED

Our accreditation for sending volunteers on EVS and coordinating EVS projects has been prolonged. Its expiry date is now 30/12/2020, accreditation number: 2014-1-CZ01-KA110-002161, PIC948659516.


2014 overview

We wish you a Merry Christmas and all the best in 2015!

Thank you all who have taken part in abroad projects, have been interested in our activities and have been supporting and inspiring us. Thank you very much!

In 2014, we sent 172 young people to 49 abroad projects in 22 countries. These projects were supported by the Youth in Action and Erasmus+: Youth in Action programmes. We also sent one volunteer to European Voluntary Service. In the Czech Republic we organised our seventh project, a youth exchange "Connecting Through Science".

We continued in presenting the (Erasmus+): Youth in Action programme, namely in Slovanské náměstí Grammar school and Třída Kpt. Jaroše Grammar school in Brno, at the Veterinary and Farmaceutical University Brno, on the ESN Platform in České Budějovice, on the NGO Fair within the festival RiverJump! in Lanžhot  and on the 3rd NGO Fair Brno.

We took part in volunteering activity "We for Water - Water for Us", prepared for you a new grant programme supporting participation of economically disadvantaged young people in EU educational projects, organised a disscussion in the Town Library Břeclav and created a booklet full of your experiences and photos from abroad projects.

Youth Exchange „Connecting through Science“ was approved by Dům zahraniční spolupráce and supported by Erasmus+: Youth in Action grant!

Youth exchange "Connecting through Science" was supported by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action grant with 11 508 Euros. This Youth Exchange will be held in the week of 24th – 31st October 2014 in Lednice, Czech Republic (South Moravian region) and it will connect young people interested not only in science but also in self-education, active citizenship and meeting new people from all over Europe, specifically from: Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Netherlands, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Reflexions, experiences and photos from abroad projects in new publication

 Are you thinking about taking part in an abroad project within the frame of the Youth in Action programme or Erasmus+ programme, but have no idea what to expect? In our Project album you will find reflexions, experiences and photos from almost thirty projects (both youth exchanges and training courses) written and taken by more than fifty Czech participants we already sent abroad.

We would like to hereby express our gratitude to all of them who gave us their kind permission to publish their reports and/or photos in this album. Thank you!


2013 overview

EYCB team wishes you Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year 2014!

Thank you all who have been interested in our activities, taken part in projects and have been supporting and inspiring us in every possible way. Thank you very much!

The number "thirteen" in last year's number was lucky for us - 2013 was the most successful year in our six years' history. In this year we sent 460 young people to 113 projects in 33 countries. Projects were supported from the Youth in Action Programme, EuroMED Youth Programme and Visegrad fund. In 2013 we also sent our 555th participant to the project abroad. We managed to send two young ladies to the 11 months long European Voluntary Service projects. Moreover, we organised two training courses in the Czech Republic this year.
In 2013 you could take part in our projects for the very first time in our history 
in the following countries: Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Montenegro, Estonia, Israel, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Norway, Slovakia a Ukraine. You can see all the places we have sent participants to projects during 6 years of our existence, on our project map.

Apart from that, this year we presented the Youth in Action Programme at Business School in Breclav, Grammar school in Breclav, Vocational school in Breclav, Primary School Horacke namesti in Brno, at Welfare Services Fair in Breclav and at NGIO Fair in Brno. 


Youth in Action reborn: European Commission accepts ERASMUS+

On 19 November 2013 the European Commission accepted the new programme ERASMUS+ which will replace the current seven educational programmes, including Youth in Action in January 2014. Therefore European youths can be looking forward to seven years of fantastic non-formal education projects in the upcoming years 2014-2020!

Training course

Our training course "See New Possibility in Disability" was approved as an action 4.3. project within the Youth in Action programme by the Czech National Agency. It was awarded €15,288 and is going to take place in Lednice, Czech Republic in the week of 7-14 September. The training course is going to host six national groups from: CZ, Poland, Romania, Italy, Estonia and Turkey.
