Project report:
Estonia is a modern country with magnificent nature. Not to mention the welcoming and friendly Estonians who organized the project “The Adventure of Learning Outside” for us. From 15 July to 23 July I had the pleasure to spend time with five other Czech people as well as with six people from Estonia, Ukraine and Moldova.
We were lucky enough to have great organizers – Marco, Eliis and Aire. Thanks to their hard work we had one of the best times of our lives. During the activities that were prepared for us we had the opportunity to get to know each other, cooperate, inspire and be inspired. I cannot stress enough how positive and open minded the environment was during the whole project. We also discussed many topics such as education, leadership or team building. Presenting solutions and our thoughts or preparing some of the workshops ourselves also allowed us to improve our English skills!
Furthermore, we learned a lot not only about the Estonian culture but about all the countries participating in the project as well. Learning traditional dances, tasting local food and beverages (I especially enjoyed Moldovan wine, even though I am not a wine drinker!), listening to music and mainly just casually talking to the others about the way they live back home.
Considering it all, the whole project was a very unique experience for me. The opportunity to connect to so many young and inspiring people will definitely help me to grow further. Not to mention the time we spent in beautiful Estonian nature around Vanaõue. I enjoyed swimming in the clean river, bog lakes, camping in forests or sitting alongside everyone around the fire and sharing stories. It was very meditating and helped to clear my mind. I left Estonia with new friends, perspectives and motivation.
In conclusion, all of this would not be possible without our amazing Czech organization EYCB, Erasmus+ programe and the great Estonian organizers. I really appreciate everyone involved in making these projects happen! They really make a difference!
