In the picturesque Romanian town of Bușteni, a nine-day training course was held as part of the ERASMUS+ program. The course, attended by a three-member Czech team, focused on the development of critical thinking and understanding its various forms.
One of the most valuable aspects of the entire course was its incredibly diverse and multicultural environment. Participants came from different countries and cultures, providing us with a unique opportunity to share opinions and gain new perspectives. This diversity significantly contributed to our learning and deepened our understanding of the topics we discussed.
The course program was structured into two morning and two afternoon sessions. The formats of the sessions varied – sometimes we engaged in discussions in a large circle, but more often we divided into smaller teams to work on various tasks.
During the course, we focused on concepts such as propaganda and fake news. This proved to be immensely important for strengthening our critical thinking and understanding how information can be manipulated for different purposes.
Another key element of the course was the exploration of the concept of leadership and its various forms. We learned about different leadership styles, which helped us understand how leadership can vary depending on the context.
The hosting organization, Youth for Sustainable Development Association, contributed to the high quality of the entire course. Their professional approach and care for the participants, along with a carefully planned and well-executed program, ensured a smooth progression throughout the course.
In summary, this training course provided a unique opportunity for the development of critical thinking skills and understanding of leadership in a diverse and multicultural environment. The experiences and skills we acquired have provided us with new tools for effective work in our communities and for addressing the challenges that await us in the future.
