Project report:

Hi, let me fill you in on the amazing journey we had during the “Democracy in Action: Fostering Civic Engagement” training course. It took place in Kemmer, Turkey, from April 15th to April 23rd, 2024. We had participants from Germany, Turkey, North Macedonia, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Latvia, making it a total of 36 awesome individuals.

During the training course, we delved deep into the concept of democracy using informal and non-formal education methods. We had simulations, tasks, case studies, role plays, surveys, and engaging discussions. And let’s not forget the energizers that pumped us up before each activity!

One of the highlights was our Intercultural Nights, where each participant had the chance to showcase their country’s culture through food, drinks, music, and traditional clothing. It was a beautiful celebration of diverzity and unity.

The training course was all about putting the participants at the forefront. We engaged in exercises and discussions where everyone had the opportunity to learn from each other, share experiences, and find common ground.

The project was great and I personally found it incredibly enriching. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from diverse perspectives and engage in meaningful discussions. I gained so much insight and knowledge throughout the training course, and I’m grateful for the experience!
